Another Broken Levee

The midwest is still suffering from flooding. Mike sent me the link to this video. Note though we are talking about Gulfport, we are talking about ILLINOIS, not the Gulf Coast.



Yea, yea, yea, conditions very bad, but what we really need is a song, so I went looking for a video of Led Zepplins' "When The Levee Breaks". Did not find one I really liked, but at least you can listen to the tune. The pictures here are from New Orleans which is on the Gulf Coast, not in ILLINOIS.

Patti Smith: Dancing Barefoot

I was looking for stuff about the P-38, and I came across this video, which uses the song for a soundtrack. I like this song, and I had not heard it for a long time, so I looked around on You Tube for a bit to see if I could find a better video. I didn't. I don't care for "live" recordings, and I don't much care for watching the band play. I want some kind of show. I'm not sure there is any connection between what is going on in the video and the lyrics in the song, but I'm not sure there isn't either. Patti wrote the song, and I think this is her singing, but I cannot be sure.

There was a kid wearing a More Cowbell T-shirt at the movies last night, and Dustbury is writing about the More Cowbell app for the iPhone, so I just gotta put the video up, because you can never have too much cowbell.

I liked the first part of this video when the bugs are little, but I did not enjoy the last part with the human sized bugs. Gave me the creeps.
